On the afternoon of July 12, 2022 the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs held a small but cordial symposium to celebrate the retirement of Fu Qiong, Class-Ⅰ Inspector of the Department’s Social Affairs Office, and Zhong Shoujian, Class-Ⅱ Inspector of the Elderly Care Office. Xu Huanzhong, Member of the Party Group of and Deputy Chief of the Department, presided over the symposium, attended by Li Feng, Secretary of the Party Group of and Chief of the Department, officials working from home, and other relevant leaders.

On behalf of the whole Department, Li Feng awarded medals to retirees Fu Qiong and Zhong Shoujian in honor of their decades of work dedicated to the cause of the Party and to the development of civil affairs reforms. Their work was highly appreciated.

Li Feng pointed out that a glorious retirement is the end of a career as well as another start of a happy life. The Party Group of the Department will never forget the great work of the retirees to the cause of civil affairs, and will always respect their political opinions, hear their voices, take care of their daily lives and provide them emotional support. The Party Group will continue to try its best to serve the retirees. Meanwhile it is also hoped that the two retirees could remain committed to the cause of the Party by getting involved in the Departments work and helping young employees at the Department do better jobs. Young people at the Department are required to learn from the role models set by the retirees, become more competent through practices and hard work. Young people should strive to break new grounds in the cause of civil affairs and excel themselves in the development of Hainan Free Trade Port.

Young and vibrant when many years ago hired, they are now leaving with greying hair. Retirees Fu Qiong and Zhong Shoujian appreciated the symposium that made them feel at home. They promised to remain concerned about the cause of civil affairs as retirees and wished the cause would go from strength to strength.

Attendees at the symposium reminisced about how they had worked with the two retirees and expressed their best wishes to them for good health and family happiness.
